Adding a Link on Your My Favorites Page

  1. Make sure you are logged in to sharepoint
  2. Click the Like button in the first column for the item. You will get a popup grey notification showing you this is working.


Searching the Project Directory

  • Search using the Search box directly above the Project Directory on the left
    1. In the box containing the text 'Find an item', enter the search term and press enter/return
    2. Click on the 'X' in the box to clear the search term.






  • Search using filtering of the directory columns
    1. Hover your mouse over a column header, a downward caret will appear
    2. Click on the caret
    3. Select all of the items in the list that appears that you want to see
    4. You can filter on more than one column at a time
    5. A column that is filtered will have a little filter icon that appears next to it
    6. You can clear all your selected filters by selecting the Clear Filters from <columnName> box

  • Search using sorting of the directory columns
    1. Hover your mouse over a column header, a downward caret will appear
    2. Click on the caret
    3. Click on the Ascending or Descending to sort in order
  • Search using the browser search
    • Windows Computer
      • Internet Explorer (IE) - Ctrl F, then enter the text you are searching for in the upper left corner
      • Firefox - Ctrl F, then enter the text you are searching for in the bottom left corner
      • Chrome - Ctrl F, then enter the text you are searching for in the upper right corner
    • Apple Computer
      • Safari - Command F, then enter the text you are searching for in the upper right corner
      • Firefox - Command F, then enter the text you are searching for in the bottom left corner
      • Chrome- Ctrl F, then enter the text you are searching for in the upper right corner

Features

  • Click to get a list of items you have marked as your favorite
  • Click to get a list of items added/updated in the last 30 days
  • When an item is no longer needed on the list, edit the item and click the Obsolete button in the form (do not delete the item)
  • Adding new items or updating items
    • You can do it yourself!!
    • Or ask Amanda or Eileen to do it
    • Make sure you are logged into sharepoint
    • Add an item:
      • Click the new item link directly below the blue bar
      • Fill out the form
    • Update an item:
      • Click  in the Edit column (furthest right) of the item you want to update
      • Update the form
