Instructions for uploading a document to DocDB -

  • Using a web browser of your choice, go to http://lbne2-docdb.fnal.gov:8080/cgi-bin/ShowDocument?docid=10665.
  • You will have to enter the username and password you were given for LBNE DocDB.
  • If you are adding a new file to this DocDB entry
    • Select the 'Add Files' button from the left hand side
    • Scroll to the bottom of the screen that comes up
    • Browse to locate files to add
    • Add a description if it is different than the file name
    • Select the 'Add Files' button at the bottom of the page
  • If you are updating a file that already exists -
    • Click the 'Update Document' button on the left hand side of the page
    • Change any currently listed information that needs to be changed (Title, Abstract…)
    • Enter the reason why a new version is being uploaded in the 'Notes and Changes' box.
    • Click the 'Copy all files from previous version (at least one file must be added or updated)' button
    • Find the name of the file you want to replace in the subsequent list
    • Unclick the 'Copy <your-filename-here> button for the file you want to replace
    • Use the 'Browse' button to help find the new file on your computer.
    • You do not need to enter a description if you do not want.
    • Scroll in the 'Submitter' box to find your name. Click on it to select it. If your name is not there, choose Jeff Dolph
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Submit Document' button.
  • If you are just changing the Title or other information but are not uploading any files -
    • Click the 'Update DB Info' button on the left hand side of the page.
    • Change the desired information.
    • Scroll in the 'Submitter' box to find your name. Click on it to select it. If your name is not there, choose Jeff Dolph
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the 'Submit Document' button.
