  • ​Extend understanding of DUNE physics reach​

  • Build & defend scientific case for DUNE

  • Develop analysis strategies for oscillation analyses

  • Contribute to/facilitate work of​ beam, near detector, and far detector task forces

The following are tasks that have been identified as needing additional effort. Please contact the conveners if you have interest in taking on one of these tasks or would like to suggest an additional topic.

  • Sensitivity expert to quickly evaluate experimental sensitivity in light of physics developments and/or experiment design questions or developments (at least 2 people)
  • Fast MC development (at least 1 person)
  • Systematics studies using Fast MC (at least 1 person)
  • ​LArSoft studies to evaluate Fast MC inputs (at least 1 person)
  • Interactions experts to keep track of developments in generators, models, and external developments (at least 2 people)
  • Determine inputs/format required from near and far detector for DUNE analysis (at least 2 people)
  • DUNE analysis development (at least 1 person)​
  • Evaluate potential for model-independent MH and CP analyses
  • Physics analysis: NC (at least 1 person)
  • Physics analysis: nu_tau appearance (at least 1 person)
  • Physics analyses beyond 3-flavor model: NSI, long-range interactions, mixing with steriles, large extra dimensions, Lorentz/CPT violation, etc... (at least 2 people)​​
  • Impact of sterile that could be discovered in SBN on DUNE sensitivity
