How to get to the meeting
 
Freeway Directions
From LAX Airport
  • Follow signs to Century Blvd.
  • Take Century Blvd. to the 405 Freeway North
  • Exit the 405 on Wilshire Blvd., heading East (to Westwood).
Note: Los Angeles traffic conditions are very unpredictable. We strongly recommend that you allow at least one hour travel time to campus when coming from the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) vicinity.
 
From the South
  • Take the 405 Freeway North
  • Exit the 405 on Wilshire Blvd., heading East (to Westwood).
From the North
  • Take the 405 Freeway South
  • Exit the 405 on Wilshire Blvd., heading East (to Westwood).
  • Once you exit from the freeway merge into the left-hand lane on Wilshire Blvd. as soon as possible so that you can make it to the left turn lane for Westwood Blvd.
  • Continue east to Westwood Blvd.
  • Turn left (north) on Westwood Blvd.
Walking Directions
Recommended Route (parking in Lot 2)
  • Once on Westwood Blvd continue north one block to Lindbrook Drive. Turn right on Lindbrook and continue north as the street curves to the left and becomes Hilgard Ave. Continue north on Hilgard to Westholme Ave.
  • Turn left onto Westholme Ave and proceed to the parking information kiosk (center island).
  • Request parking in lot 2. If there are questions, ask the attendant to call x56635. Ask the attendant to give you a map and to point out the Physics and Astronomy Building and Lot 2 on the map. Lot 2 is just south of the kiosk.
Parking
 
Please send Warren email (mori@physics.ucla.edu) by November 28th, if you need a parking permit. Our parking space is in lot 2; the kiosk is located at the corner of Hilgard and Westholme. The parking permits are under scidac/compass and not under individual names. See instructions below:
When the guests come to campus they should drive to the intersection of Hilgard and Westholme and stop at the parking information kiosk just inside the campus. When they say they are here for the SCIDAC Compass meeting they will be given the appropriate parking materials allowing them to park in lot #2.
 
Meeting Rooms
We will be at the Physics and Astronomy Building (PAB), which is adjacent to Knudsen Hall, rooms 4-708 PAB (Management Team meeting) and 4-330 PAB (all other talks).
